Uniform cookie size will improve final results when you're baking, because cookies the same size will require exactly the same length of time in the oven. This scoop is very sturdy, with a rubberized grip to absorb pressure.
Cookies that are uniform in size will bake evenly, creating a consistently perfect batch. Available also in small and large sizes, this medium-size scoop picks up approximately 1-1/2 tablespoons of dough, which yields a cookie 2-3/4 inches in diameter. While the handles are spread a bit wide for small hands to manage easily, the soft grips do add comfort when squeezing to release the dough. Dishwasher-safe, the scoop can also be used to produce decorative 1-3/4-inch balls of ice cream, rice, and other foods.

I have arthritis in my hands and a son who loves cookies. Not always a good combo! I looked at the Oxo cookie scoops for a long time, but kept thinking that it was too pricey. NOT SO! I wish I had purchased it as soon as I first saw it because it has made cookie making a breeze for me. The scoop handles are easy to grip and they release the dough easily. The right amount each time! Because the cookies are the same size, they cook more evenly and so I don't have those crispy edges with doughy centers anymore.
If you have been wondering if these Oxo scoops are a good value, rest assured that they are. I am planning to purchase the larger sizes as well. |

| I LOVE this item! I don't bake often, as I get too easily addicted to that little sweet treat after dinner, but every now and then I get the urge to bake. Cookies, however, are something I rarely make, even though I have an outstanding gingersnap recipe. I have always found the "making balls the size of walnuts" tedious and boring. When I saw this, it looked like just the perfect item, and it is!! I can now scoop up the dough so quickly and easily, that I find myself making gingersnaps much more often. Plus they come out as even in size as purchased cookies. I can't say enough about how wonderful this item is, even my husband has started using it for his chocolate chip cookies. |

| I own all three of these scoops - the small, medium, and large. I love making cookies, and these scoops make it really easy for me to get cookies of consistent size and shape. I also don't need to worry as much about some cookies cooking faster than others since they are all the same size. I did find that I needed to slightly adjust the cook times for my cookies, since the scoops weren't the exact size I was looking for, but once I figured it out after the first batch, my recipes have been since adjusted accordingly. I would definitely recommend this scoop! |
