| Great bargain! | 2010-03-08 | 5 / 5 |

| These filters are a great price for the quality. Much better to get them all in a kit like this to save money per filter. |

The kit came to me in fine shape. The filters weren't dusty or looked like they had been handled as it appears some of the other reviewers experienced. I did have to do some minor cleaning, however.
The kit includes a nice Hoya nylon/vinyl filter case with four pockets. Also included is the Hoya filters catalog.
I have only been able to play with the filters for a short time and I'm still learning how and when to use them. The filters seem to do what they are supposed to do and I look forward to experimenting with them more.
As a beginning photographer, I would recommend this kit for those like me who want to expand their capabilities. I have also uploaded a few quick pics of the contents - hope they help. |
| great lenses for the price | 2009-12-01 | 4 / 5 |

| I use these lenses for the Canon Powershot XS20IS. I have the Warming filter on first, then the UV filter, then I take the Polarizer on and off depending on if I'm indoors and lighting. With the Powershot, I had to get an adaptor (from [...]) to get the filters to attach. All of these filters create a slight vinnetting on the borders, but it disappears by zooming in a bit. Overall, I'm impressed with the filters, especially the polarizer. It's a good quality polarizer for the price. It really cuts down on glare, reflection from windows and shiny surfaces, and makes the image more crisp. All of the lenses were a bit dusty when I got them, so I had to clean them up a bit, which isn't a big deal. |
| Poor Condition for New Filters | 2009-08-13 | 1 / 5 |
|
These are nice filters, but when I got mine two of them were partially smudged. Nothing a lenspen couldn't handle, but since I was expecting new filters, I expected perfectly clean items.
UPDATE: DOWNGRADE 1 STAR: After using this product for only half a year, the CPL filter has fallen apart completely and the UV filter is having issues with threading onto my lenses. I cannot in all good faith recommend this product at all. |
| Hoya Filter Kit Sold as New, But Was Used/Damaged | 2009-03-11 | 2 / 5 |
|
| Although this product was sold as new, it arrived with dust and dirt on two of the three filters; airbrush effectively cleaned these. The thid filter had watermarks and dust; took two tries with lens cleaner solution and cloth to clean effectively -- still some remnants of the watermarking. Not delivered from but by a "partner". Not recommended. |
