| Flight SIM , provides fun for all ages. | 2009-12-09 | 4 / 5 |
|
Although Flight simulation does not seem to be suitable for young kids , Microsoft Flight Simulator X stands out in its scalability and suitability for all family members.
My 6 years old son loves it too , it is easy for him to progress through the lessons and learn a new skill from each.
The graphics and the audio sounds are excellent , there are many expansion packs available in the market to add more aircrafts or airports. Overall it is a very good game and excellent value for money. |
| Compared to the view out the cockpit window this ran about an hour behind real time on my laptop. | 2009-10-28 | 4 / 5 |

Ahhh... this runs a little slow. Compared to the view out the cockpit window this ran about an hour behind real time on my laptop.

| Too many small mistakes | 2009-07-06 | 3 / 5 |

| This game is too flawed, first of all I have a AMD turion X2 3 ghz and a more than 75 gbs of hard drive, and over 4gb of ram. So it far exceeds minimum requiresments by light years, but at max settings it s=gets about 10 frames a second, which is good, but there are other problems, the installation takes a hell of a long time, and it either corrupts or unistalls itself after the first play, so you have to put it in the cd drive and install it again. It's a decent game. |

| You'll need about 4 Gig of space on hard drive for the install. Many airports to choose from. Really need a duo-processor with 2 gig Ram to be able to turn-up the details in the scenery. For some Planes, some of the dashboards in cockpit will take up half the screen, so you can't see landing strip. |
| FSX comparison with real world flying | 2008-12-23 | 4 / 5 |

| Well as a Professional Pilot in the real world, (7300+ hours Airline Transport Pilot) I enjoy FSX with the acceleration pack. I have flown a Real Learjet 45 into Telluride and I am impressed with what FSX offers with their Simulator as compared to the real thing with the exception of or lack of the adrenaline rush (LOL). The Missions are incredible and something you can really relate to from any experience level as it offers a great variety. It makes flying fun again as well as informative for any experience level. I am eagerly anticpating the next expansion pack, Not being rated in Helicopters, I can say the helicopter missions are by far the most challenging being - so enjoy it all! |
